You must be a City of Osaka resident who has received a notification of expiration for your My Number Card.
- *We’re unable to accept your application if your card has been lost or if more than three months remain before the expiration date.
- *We're unable to provide support for renewing electronic certificates. Please complete the procedure at your local ward office counter.
- *If you have a My Number Card that also serves as your driver’s license, please note that the driver’s license information will not be carried over if you apply for renewal through this support service.
- *We’re pleased to offer free photo service and assistance with filling out the application form.
- *You’ll need to visit your ward office with identification documents to collect your card at a later date.
- *If the applicant is under 15 years of age, an adult ward, or in a similar category, a legal representative or other appropriate guardian must accompany them.

Application Sequence
STEP1
Come to the service location.
Check the service schedule and stop by when you have time.
STEP2
Receive help with your application.
- • Have your ID photo taken free of charge.
- • Receive help with filling in the application or completing an online application.
STEP3
Wait for your postcard-size issuance notice.
An issuance notice describing how to pick up your card will be mailed to your home in about one month.
STEP4
Pick up your card.
Take the necessary documents to your ward office and pick up your card.
Eligibility
Residents of the city of Osaka who are applying for their My Number Card for the first time
- *Service is not available for people who are requesting issuance of a new card because their card was lost or stolen.
- *Minors under the age of 15 and adult wards must be accompanied by their legal representative (parent or adult guardian).

If you have a Facial Recognition My Number Card, please visit a nearby medical institution, pharmacy, or other healthcare provider.
